King Abdullah lays foundation stone iat Saudi NGHA Hospital Complex.

On Tuesday 8/5/1428 (H), 13/5/2008 (G), the Causation of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz honored with his presence NGHA ceremony that was held in celebration of laying the foundation stone for KSU-HS campus that was announced in 16/3/2005 based on his Royal Highness’s resolution to institute a university dedicated for health sciences.

HRH Governor of Riyadh Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, HRH Assisting Deputy Chief of NGMA General Muteab bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, HRH Deputy of NG WR Dr. Khalid bin Fasial bin Turkey, HRH Deputy of NG ER Musharee bin Saud, H.E. Minister of High Education Dr. Mohamed Al Unqaree, CEO of NGHA Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah as well as several of NGHA executives were all at the reception of King Abdullah as he arrived at the ceremony site.

Following the reception, HRH took his seat initiating the ceremony that was started with reciting verses of the Holy Quran followed by General Muteab’s speech in which he praised King Abdullah’s long devotion for NG that brought them to this glorious moment. “It is the deep insight and the devotion for progress that led our Kingdom to reach such advancement in all fields. Normally, NGHA highly-regarded achievements have contributed greatly in boosting our Kingdom glory and enhance its reputation for being that of Humanity.” HRH stated. “In order to maintain a steady progress and preserve our renowned reputation for excellence, it is essential invest in national manpower in order to give birth to a generation of highly qualified Saudi health care providers. Establishing both KSU-HS and KAIRC is another step taking in the right direction to ensure that KSA become a leading figure in medical and the scientific field.” He concluded.

Following General Muteab’s speech, a short presentation was played in which countless of NGHA achievements have been highlighted. Then, Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah took the stand and seized the opportunity to again welcome the honorable presence of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz. “Today, we celebrate your visit to NGHA after 50 years of constant achievement and success. We also celebrate laying the foundation stone for KSU-HS campuses as well as the graduation of a new promising generation of national health care providers. Clearly, KSU-HS has started bearing it fruits for a brighter future from the Kingdom of Humanity. Thank you for your wise vision and devotion.” He declared.
Dr. Al Rabeeah also added, “Your Majesty, I still vividly remember what you have said once. ‘Successes come with hard work however; it can only preserved if it is accompanied with a vision and planning.’ Thus, I am presenting you with NGHA Strategic Plan for the Next 20 Years that was the fruit of hard work and deliberate discussions. This plan will lay out our vision of the Organization that, after expanding, became to include: National Guard Health Services, King Saud University for Health Sciences, King Abdullah International Research Center, and Medical & Health Industry.”

Dr. Al Rabeeah praised the kind gesture of King Abdullah that resulted in establishing the Specialized Hospital for Pediatric Medicine. 'How kind of you to order the establishment of a hospital specialized in pediatric medicine. As always, you refuse to hold back any effort that might help in easing the suffering of a child or producing a smile on another innocent lips. Certainly, the children of the globe will gladly give you a medal of their own with their smiles as its emblem. On their behalf, I hereby give you another medal of honor and acknowledgments as I announce naming the newly established pediatric hospital after you so it will be ‘King Abdullah Specialized Hospital for Pediatric Medicine’. This hospital will be an edifice of progress as it will take upon itself the treatment of complicated medical cases and the performance of many difficult operations and procedures. The hospital also will offer Saudi doctors and nurses a golden opportunity to train and practice, which will eventually contribute in preserving the excellence of the national medical services.'' He declared.

Following Dr. Al Rabeeah’s speech, the graduates’ academic procession took place. 199 students have been graduated; 71 are males while 128 are females. 24 have graduated of the College of Medicine while 17 have earned Master Degree in Medical education and 41 have earned the Saudi Fellowship in different medical specialties. There were also 17 graduates who have earned Master Degree in the field of Health Informatics, 11 the Bachelor Degree in Laboratory Sciences and 89 the Bachelor Degree in Nursing.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bandar Al Qunawee and CEO of Operation Abdullah Al Amaree presented the Custodian of the Tow Holy Mosques with NGHA Strategic Plan for the Next 20 Years. Then, members of the University International Counseling Committee greeted the King along with former Director of NGHA Medical Services (in the period between 1389-1391 H) Muneer Ishaq. After that, CEO of NGHA presented King Abdullah with a memento of this event.

Next, HRH has been presented with a model of the university main campus in Riyadh with the CEO explaining different aspects of the project. Following, King Abdullah laid the foundation stones for five projects which are: KSU-HS main campus in Riyadh, KSU-HS campus in Al Hassa, KSU-HS campus in Jeddah, King Abdullah Specialized Hospital for Pediatric Medicine and Medical Specialized Centers.

At the end of the Ceremony, King Abdullah thanked the hospitality and the generosity of NGHA and wished the organization prosperity and glory.

Worth mentioning, Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector, Prince Bandar bin Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Prince Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz, Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence and other princes, ministers and officials have attended the ceremony.
